My name is Dan Redwine and I am the school psychologist at Madison, Jackson, and Stangel Elementary schools. This will be my 13th year in the MPSD. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UW-Madison (Go Badgers!) and Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology from UW-La Crosse.
You might be thinking, “I didn’t know we had a school psychologist”, or “What does a school psychologist do?” Broadly speaking, school psychologists work to help students succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. They collaborate with educators, parents, and other community professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community for all students. I truly enjoy being a school psychologist and the opportunities it provides to build relationships with a variety of people.
On a personal note, I
live in Manitowoc with my wife, three children (ages 11, 9, and 5). I love camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, and running (basically anything outdoors!).
Feel free to contact me anytime, and make it a great school year!
