Sara Schultz, School Counselor

Hi, I am Sara Schultz, Madison's School Counselor.  I am originally from Watertown, WI but I relocated to Manitowoc with my husband after I graduated from UW-Whitewater with my Masters in Counseling in 2010.  I started as a school counselor in the Manitowoc Public School District at Franklin Elementary in 2010.  After five years there I decided to make a change and went to Jefferson Elementary to jobshare.  At the time I had one young daughter and was pregnant with my second daughter. I spent four years at Jefferson in that jobshare position and loved the balance of work and extra time with my girls.  Now I decided to return to full time work and am excited to be Madison's school counselor.  My current position is split, so I still spend my Tuesdays working at Jefferson.

As Madison’s, school counselor, my role is to ensure that all students are experiencing a positive environment at school, so they can achieve personal and academic success. I help educate students in social and emotional skills to help them grow to become responsible members of their school and community. I directly work with students in class, small group an individually.

I am excited to work with you to make this a great year at Madison!

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.  I will be out of the building on Tuesdays working at Jefferson Elementary but will do my best to reach you timely upon my return to Madison.
